This whole month we have been, or rather, he has been so busy with RABBITS!!!
It all began when Ja kept bugging us to get him a pet.. (he's at the stage when owning a pet is a COOL and IN thing among his classmates..) (Just like us adults.. owning I phone, Mac books etc hee)
He kept bugging us to the extent that we went to buy our very first pet rabbit: a Netherland Dwarf on 4th Sept (Thurs). It costs us $400 + including the food, toys and house for the rabbit!!! (Talking about PAMPERING!)
Well, the story goes on... He named the rabbit:Bunnie Tan Seow Too(Don know where he got that name from?)
When I first brought Bunnie back, I felt like I just gave birth and became a mummie for the first time and back from the hospital!!! Felt lost and afraid of not knowing how to take care of the baby bunnie. What to eat, how many times to feed? How to bathe? Will it be too cold at night??? GOSH!! It as not that stressful bringing Jewel back from hospital!
It (cos i dunnno the gender yet) was very cute! Whitish grey in colour :) Wondering why I wrote it in PAST TENSE??? Cos the whole saga begins...
BUNNIE DIED ON 7th Sept (Sun) morning!!!!
It was a great shock! Ja was very upset and claimed that the cg members scared Bunnie and cause its death:( cos they had cg at my aunty's place where we put Bunnie on Thurs night itself. And some of the adults were mentioning about COOKING Bunnie and stuff like that! In fact, he became quite resentful and said he doesn't want to attend cg anymore!!!
Oh NO! Ck was worried that this incident might stumble Ja... So we went to buy 2 more dwarf rabbits one week later on the 11th SEPT (Thurs). Ja named them Merra and Jordon.
MORE MONEY PAID:((
Jordon died on the 12th Sept (FRI). Ck was grieved.. cos it meant $$ thrown into drain!
Determined to break the "CURSE".. He went to buy 2 more dwarf rabbits on that very day! MORE $$$!!!
This time round, we "engaged" a rabbit specialist by the name of Karen Yeo (hah hah!) She came to check on the environment, disinfect the cage, bond the 2 new rabbits with Merra to ensure Merra gets over the grief of losing her companion. Gosh!
Finally it seems like these 3 rabbits ( oh yes the 2 new additions are named Brandon and Rachel) ( I can'thelp but feel that Ja has been naming his rabbits after his classmates!!!) are settling down and living well together.:)
SHOCKING NEWS: Merra died on 14th Sept (Sun). Think ever since her companion died she has been unwell...
Sigh!!! I had enough.. of RABBITS dying. So did Ck. We decided to bring Brandon and Rachel to my mum in law's place instead.. (Suspected my aunty's helper murdered the 3 rabbits... heh joking!)
After the whole saga, I am hapy to announce that Brandon and Rachel are growing well and it has been 2 weeks since they are there already. Phew! Finally! Peace!!!:))
Thru out the whole incident, I realised that it's not Ja who got himself new pets, rather my husband Ck! He goes to mum's place to visit the 2 rabbits twice a week, cleaned the cage, fed them, played with them. Sometimes i really felt that he spent more time with Brandon and Rachel than with Ja and Jew.... So in the midst of PAMPERING his boy, it became a RABBIT MONTH!
