I was awakened by Jew's "EH" to her Gorgor...
Gosh! What are the 2 of them doing?
Realised Ja and Jew were "fighting" over CARTOON NETWORK (Ja's favourite channel) and "PLAYHOUSE DISNEY" (Jew's favourite channel)
OMG!! That's too fast for them to start fighting already??? HELP!! I only have one TV and one Cable box at home!!
Time to set some house rules even for that young lady!! Tsk Tsk!

A Day at the zoo

We went to the zoo yesterday morning.. Why so wierd a timing? Well, cos our nights and weekends are always occupied and we dont really have much time to spend over the weekends with the kids!
Promised Ja that we will bring him to the zoo.. so there we are.. got him to "pon-tang" school.
It was really fun.I must say that the zoo has reconstructed a children's land where they have water play (mini wild wild wet), pony rides, merry-go-round, KFC, BEN & JERRY....
Actually our visits to the zoo are mostly spent at the children's play area only.. Cos that will take up about 2-3 hours already!
Ja and Jew really enjoyed themselves tremendously... I am soooo glad we kept our promises to him to bring him to the zoo:)))
(btw, this sounds and reminds me of my primary school day writng a composition titled:" A DAY AT THE ZOO"....oh YES! Then I must end by this...
WE WENT HOME TIRED, BUT HAPPY!! hehehehe

Last Tues was Ja's retest for his phonics..
Perhaps some parents may feel that I am very kiasu.. having to send Ja for enrichment classes! Well! Firstly, I am not a homemaker.. and I dun work from 9-5.. thus to ensure Ja has a good foundation from young, I sent him for this phonics class.
Anyway, I used to think that I am not the kiasu type too (lol).. But wait till your child reaches 5! Then we can review again! (hehehe)
Anyway, Ja has been in the class for a year.. From a boy who doesnt like to read and write and whose attention span is super short.. I must say that he has shown tremendous improvement so much so that even his dad feels he needs to be in a very disciplined environment esp for his studies and not the "creative", "free to express" type only..
Ja was supposed to have his first test in Feb.. That test result will determine if he can be promoted to advance phonics class.
Well, he missed a lot of classes last year due to overseas trips, Jewel's arrival etc,hence he was 'ungraded'...
That was the first time he understood the concept of TEST, RESULTS, GRADES!!!
Thus he attended extra classes of 2.5 hours for one month on every Tues night! I was very stressed! Cos I need to rush home on Tuesday nights to drive him for his class and I also have to miss out on leaders mtgs too! Sigh!
The retest was scheduled on last Tues!
He was very very reluctant to go.. gave a lot of excuses like:
"We are late for the test!"
"There is no class today!".... etc etc
Initially I was puzzled.. until he blurted out finally:
"Mummie, I am scared that i will fail again!!!" (cry)
Sigh! I was really heartbroken...:(
So I reassured him that no matter what, he just go thru the session with a light hearted attitude, treat it as a reading session. Most impt is to try his best..No matter what the results are, I promised to bring him for his Mac treat straight after the session..
Guess what?
When I fetched him, he ran out shouting:" Mummie! I got an A!!!
I was taken by surprise! And indeed he scored an A!!!
I am soooo PROUD of him!
This saga made me realised that indeed, all of us need to work hard and God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, he shall reap!!!
At least for Ja, he finally understood this truth and he has also grown to be more mature and responsible after this incident. With his confidence built up, he has also taken a deeper interest in writing and reading! :)

(PART 2)...
Just a few min ago, Ja discovered the new blue pillow case that we have been hiding from him in Jona's room. His dear uncle Aaron bought for him a few months ago cos his own one was left in a cab a few months back. But it was a blessing for us and I am VERY HAPPY about his loss cos it's high time he goes without his smelly pillow!!
Jona (my maid) then threw the pillow away cos she knows that we are all trying to help him break the "pillow addiction"... And Ja actually wanted to bring that pilow case to Hong Kong next week!!!
Because of this, Ja CRIED, WAILED!!!...
Finally,he accepted the fact that his pillow is GONE... Forever!! (So Aaron PLEASE dun spoil my market again:(!)
But the funniest thing was he asked me for a piece of paper...
I was puzzled, but nevertheless I passed him one..
He WROTE... (see how he is into writing now...)
"Dear Pillow,
I miss you because you have been thrown away.. I love you...

(hehehehehehehehhe!!!!!) I thought that was very Funny!! (ok I didnt laugh in front of him..) But that shows the very gentle and sensitive aspect of him! I think Ja is behaving more and more like an "S" person in the DISC test!
Thats the power of his phonics class! (lol)

Oh yeah! It's confirmed! Kong kong.. here we come!
Finally the tickets and hotel have been booked.. Looking forward to this trip...Why?
Well, it has been some time since I last travelled with my colleagues... So since I have 3 days at Macau with them.. especially my buddies (fellow desperate housewives), am really excited for the "xiao" sessions we will have (lol!)
Then following Macau will be Hongkong with my dearies.. Bb, Ja and Jew!
And this time round, I am not planning to do any shopping for myself (at least this is what I am planning to do! God please help me not to fall into temptation hehe)
Instead, this trip will be really for the 2 kiddos especially for Ja..
Ocean Park, Disney Land...
This will be something like his last overseas trip at this time of the year. Next year, he will be starting his primary ONE! So that means I will have to go for trips only during school holidays when everything is sooo expensive cos its the PEAK period! And that's it! Ja will enter our Singapore MOE system for the next 12-13 years at least!
Recently I have been thinking, it's really easy to get pregnant, deliver the baby and even fun to watch them grow and perform "tricks" like what Jew is doing now!
But the challenge comes when the kids have grown to a stage where you have to deal with their emotions and minds.. And that's really not easy! I really need a lot of wisdom and greater capacity to take care of Ja at this stage! And these few years will set him up for his future.. So it's really crucial! My Ja Ja is now a boy and no longer a baby..And I really pray that God can help us to lead him in the right way and he will grow to be a boy who is confident and secure of who he is as a person and to have the fear of the Lord..

Has not been putting pics in my blog.. so will update u all with some of my favourite pics rather than words:)
Jewel was having a great time sitting inside her Gor GOr's toy box! Time really flies! She will be turning ONE in a month's time! It seemed like yesterday that I just gave birth to her! And I must say this princess is getting cuter and sweeter by day! :)
These were taken when the 2 kiddos are having their breakfast!! MIIK from their bottles:)
Jew loves to sleep on her Gor gor's ferrari bed.. and to drink from their bottles together is something she really enjoys doing cos Ja is her idol! (lol)
Following these are pics taken after I reached home from my company's Awards nite. Why did I take these pics? Well, the hairdo and makeup cost me $70 and it only lasted for 3 hours. SO in order to maximise it, I decided to take a few pics with Jew and Ck (Ja was overnighting at palm garden)... Jew loved my necklace so much that when we put it on her, she was literally beaming!!:))

Hey there! I am back!
Has not been blogging cos was BUSY BUSY BUSY! Not so much with work but with a few things:
1) Settling my maid's work permit renewal and passport renewal...
2) Getting her air tickets for her to go back for 3 weeks!! OMG! How am I going to survive??? Grace Grace!
3) Having our house valued and buyers to view... thought of selling it if the price is good (no hurry though) and then wait for a good time to upgrade.. (Ja is looking forward to it! It's funny though cos he was saying," Wow! Mummie can I have a house that has a nice garden and a swimming pool? Please lah!"
Oh ya I am also saying that to my Abba now," God, please lah! I also wish leh!" (hehehehe)
4) Visiting a few primary schools to orientate and check out the environment and the values the school embraces before we decide which to register Ja into.
So you can see that I have been busy... busy with these stuff...
God I need a breakthrough!!

How I wish tt the kids would go to bed by 8.30pm... hehehe like what Pst Tan said this afternoon... the IDEAL lifestyle of every married couple....
Sigh... I think it's not gonna happen that way...
First of all, 8.30pm is still a time when we either have our dinner, have cgm, leaders mtg, appt with my client... in other words... we are not even home yet! How to sleep!!!???
WE are SINGAPOREANS! So that explains why I am still blogging at this time. Also, Ja is still playing with his toys.. his daddy is playing his role of the family man now.. entertaining his boy.. JEw is zzzzing.. finally after one hour of coaxing!
GOSH! So I can finally bathe. relax, read some bedtime stories (which are pretty lacking nowadays!!), Stone, Plan for next week.... blah blah blah... mmmmmm... satisfying!
Well, what do we do when we don't have the luxury of tucking the kids to bed by 8.30pm?
It depends... u can ask around different couples for different suggestions or simply apply what we learnt in svc today:) (A bit lame hor.. cos my brain not working already.... need to zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

YEAH! Princess has recovered!

Wow! Princess Jewel has recovered from her fever:)))
Actually ever since the 39.5 degree saga on Thurs night, her fever subsided after the bath and then it did not come back again!! AMAZING!
Cos even the doc was expecting her to have the fever for at least 2 more days... so we were all watching and watching and watching.... and I am so happy to announce that princess is fine... perfectly fine till now!!! YEAH!
So on Sat, we went to look for baby Georgie.. had dinner at Tampines Mall and did some shopping.. But I must say it was quite a feat to bring 2 babies and 1 boy out.. together with 2 prams, 2 maids, 2 mothers (Jiaying and moi) and 1 grandma!!
Surprisingly, my Toyota Corolla could fit in a total of 8 people!! Well done Toyota! (LOL)
Anyway, we have booked each other for SWIMMING next Sat!! Once again, the same combination... hope it will turn out fun!
ok water baptism tmr.. going to be a long sun.. need to zzzzzzz now....
