CG Dinner/ F1 ROCKS!!

Went for our regular cg dinner last Friday. It was a sumpteous one! Seafood at Long Beach (Dempsey Road).
Think food really opens up the hearts of people. We had a new friend and within that 2 hours, he opened up and began to sing acapella all the different CHinese and Hokkien songs for us!! LOL! IT was hilarious but everyone enjoyed ourselves!
Uncle David cracking crabs for his darling Katherine!! How SWEET!! btw, they just celebrated their 31st Wedding Anniversary on Wed!:) Congrats!
We are all hungry and waiting for dinner to start!

Me and Ck went to F1 Rocks Concert yesterday...at Fort Canning. Thanks to Jiaying for the tickets! (By the way, its not the F1 race!!)
Well, my hubby said we can park at Liang Court as Fort Canning is just opposite. But what we didnt realise was that the event was held at the top of the hill!!! SO we ended up "park Toring" and climbing up (in my heels!!!) to the top.
IT was an open air event and no seats.. THe first 2 bands were new (at least not from our era) so we were quite bored. Then we realised that Ah Mei and Jacky Cheung were on only at 9pm and 10pm!!! Wow!!!
At the end, we decided to have our dinner at a Japanese Restaurant at Liang Court.. "Sampopo Jap Restaurant"
Wow! THe Wagyu beef is mmmmmm Super Duper Delicious! The salmon sashimi is oohh la la!
It's been some time since we have dinner (just the 2 of us) at a restaurant apart from the West area.. and Ck said we should do this more often! Hahaha! I am in for more yummy treats!:)

Chinese Sinsei

Brought Jew and myself to the Chinese Sinsei yesterday as our coughs were not getting better. Mine was a marathon of 2 months! And Jew's 2 weeks!
Well, as usual, Jew refused to let the Sinsei touch her hand at all and I had to coax her..
Asa for me, the sinsei said my gastric and stomach is weak, too "cold" and asked me to cut away my favourite Ice Teh!!!:( That's my "starbucks" daily!! Sigh.. this will be hard.
ANyway, the medicine she gave us is HORRIBLE to the power of Infinity!!!
It's like a million bitter gourds grounded into power and YUCKS!!!
I almost vomitted while taking it...
So can you imagine the ordeal that JewJew had??
It was like slaughtering piglets!! She screamed, yelled, wailed, cried, kicked, struggled, shouted....:::(((((
It took 3 of us (Me, Jona and my MIL) to hold her while we forced it down.
And then she will try to vomit it out cos of the bitter after taste..
And then we will have to wipe her, change her, clean the floor....sigh:(
But the good thing is...
MY COUGH HAS IMPROVED TREMENDOUSLY!!! After 2 doasges::))
And Jew has vomitted out her phelgm twice since yesterday!
Mmmmmm.... So TCM really works??

Back from Cruise!

OK OK! I know I have been slacking in my blog...
Well, have been back from the cruise for about a week already. It was fun but tiring cos Jona was not there and I had to handle the 2 kiddos...
The cruise was fun and we got to eat eat eat eat eat... like 6 meals (FREE) a day!!!???
Jewel ate so much that she Poo 3 times daily!! Wow! She has a very efficient digestive system!
As for me, I felt so bloated after the trip.. like I can never eat again.. Neverthelss, my cg members broke the "fast" by bringing yummy food for cg refreshments! Sigh! If you ever were S31's cg leader, you don't just grow spiritually, but HORIZONTALLY too!!! At the rate they are feeding you! In fact, we are going for a seafood dinner on Fri! And planning for our BBQ during Deepavali! Woots! Our BBQ is awesome! There is red wine, lobsters, beef, and their favourite
MAO(1) SAN(1) WANG(2) durians! So any takers for my cg??? Hehehehe
Ok, back to my cruise...
Anyway, we spent the first day exploring the ship VIRGO.. swam at the pools with Jacuzzi and 100m water slide!
The kids loved to visit the arcade and we spent about $200 over on tokens alone!!! WOW!

THe trips to Penang and Phuket were very rush as we only had about 5 hours before we had to board the ship.
Did nothing much in Penang as it's Malaysia.. you know.. my hubby's 2nd home.. so we visited Jusco, had Old town white coffee... it's exactly what we noramlly do in JB!
Nevertheless, want to thank Amelia and Daniel (members in Penang) who took the trouble to drive us around and took us for makan.. Yumm! Their Chendol and Ice Kachang is super delicious!:)
On the way to Jusco in Penang.. the kiddos were knocked out cos the weather was very hot and they were very drowsy..
Well, we went to Phuket on the third day. Managed to squeeze in a 2 hour massage and a seafood lunch. But cos the port is far from Patong beach, we could only enjoyed these treats at Phuket Town which is something like their "CBD" area.. So things are slightly more ex than Patong Beach.. But honestly we don't feel satisfied cos it was all very rush! So it only made us yearn to really fly to Phuket on our own one day...:)
Oh ya, the BOYS had fun too cos we went to ride the Go-kart..

The kiddos were down with fever and flu and cough after the trip.. so spent another $100+ visiting the doc!! Sigh! The price to pay for overseas trip.. eat too much:)
It was funny cos the nurse wanted Jewel to wear the mask as she was coughing.. How to??? It was bigger than her face! LOL!
Ja and Jew really enjoyed themselves tremendously! So we are now looking forward to our next trip in Oct.. BANGKOK! Ok this time round Jona is going with us! So heee massages.. Here I come!!! Woots!
Saw from the pics that you guys had great fun at Georgie's first birthday party.. Wish we were there too... Anyway, think there will be more birthday parties to come!:)
Well, I have fulfilled all righteousness:) Will TRY to update my blog mroe regularly..

Wow! Holidays come really early this year!
Am planning to go Bangkok in Oct cos of a member's wedding there. But a few days ago, we were invited to join a family on a cruise to Penang and Phuket!!
Initially we were caught by surprise and were not ready and willing to go.. but cos its a close friend of ours, we decided to join in the fun.
And now, I am really EXCITED!
Heard there will be 6 meals provided DAILY!!! 100m water slide, SPA, basketball court, gym, movies.. blah blah blah..
The last time I was on a cruise was like... 12 years ago??!! Wow!!
And now it will be with my own immediate family.. Ck and the 2 kiddos! THink they will really enjoy themselves!!!
Well, will be sailing off on Sun afternoon and that means....
WE CAN"T BE AT DEAR GEROGIE'S 1ST BIRTHDAY PARTY!!!::(((
Already gotten his presents... and will be planning for a birthday bash on Sat at Mum's place! Where are the balloons???!!
So to all of Ja and Jew's buddies... do enjoy yourselves on Sun which I am sure you all will!!!

p.s. Wonder if I will get to massage in Phuket??? Mmmmmmm....
