Crossed Over!

Hi Ya!
Has been back for a week already! But think it's a matter of momentum.. when you start blogging, the flow comes and once you stopped for a while, there will be an inertia to start:)
Anyway, this Bangkok trip is a very different one from the last few trips I went. THis is my 4th or 5th time to Bangkok already and I must say their standard of living has definitely increased. Things are no longer as cheap as a few years back. We felt that the masseurs have all been head hunted to overseas like JB (lol) cos we don't feel the shiokness as much as the last time we did massages in THailand!
Basically I didn't shop much cos this was a trip to attend an engagement ceremony. And with kids around, we had to spend a day at a theme park! Can you imagine going to a theme park that is one hour's drive away from Bangkok City??!!
Well, here is a snapshot of our itinery in Bangkok:
Day 1: Arrived at 7:50am in the morning! Yeah me and Ck didnt sleep at all and
hence we all zzzzz at the hotel till about 3pm.
Went to Central World (liken to Vivo?)for a good but expensive Thai food.
Expensive cos we went to a restaurant)
Spent the rest of the night there at their Toys "R" Us and Kiddy World
After getting the kids to sleep, we sneaked off to enjoy a massage.. but it
was.... BAD! THe masseurs had attitude with a capital "A"!! And their skills
were lusy.. like kneading flour
Day 2: Had breakfast at Central World and went to Platinum Fashion Mall for a whole
day of shopping!!! We ended at 7pm and had foot massage followed by dinner..
Day 3: Set off at 9am for DREAM WORLD.. left there around 3 plus and went for a 2
hour massage before heading to Central World to have dinner and meet up with
the couple to catch up!

We can't even zip up this bag! We specially bought this at the mall to contain our shopping bags!

Ja knocked out already!

Jew's favourite pastime now is to push her "baby" in a stroller:)

I love this pic! We have perfect figures here! Lol! Tempted to print this out and show CK everyday to inspire him! Hahaha

This is a warning to us if we continue to have late night makan!
Day 4: Checked out of hotel and went to the engagement ceremony followed by an 8-course lunch at a Chineses Restaurant. Visited the family at their home too.. so cosy!
Went for another 2 hour massage and then straight to the airport to "stone" till our flight home.
So as you can see, this is indeed a very different Bangkok trip! Nobody will have such an itinery in Bangkok! Hahaha! But nevertheless, it was an enjoyable one cos for the first time, our helper Jona came along and we were able to be relieved of taking care of the kids and tiring ourselves out! It was a good balance of Family Time and some Couple Time..
Think for Jona it was fruitful as well cos she bought so many things back to sell to her friends! Sometimes I think it's not a bad idea to be my helper too! Hahahaha!

Had an enjoyable dinner at Karen's place last Wed! It was fun cooking together.. alright, I just cooked the rice, cut the vege and posed for pictures while stir frying the vegetables ok! I must say that Daniel is very fortunate wor!
It was funny cos during dinner, I made a statement saying " Mmmmm! THis dish is nice! How did you cook it"...... I must get Jona to do it too!"
Derrick was amused cos he expected me to say " I must try it at home too!"
Hahahaha I don't cook one... But I must say my theory in cooking is good. I can verbalised a few dishes and even taught Jona how to cook certain Cantonese dishes.. VERBALLY! But I really can't do the practiculum! Think my fingers are just not created for cooking! Hahahaha..
We ended the night playing "Who's the boss!" IT's a very "rough" game... at least VERBALLY! Derrick and Ruxin literally QUARELLED during the game and hurled "verbal abuses" at one another! Think I spent more time laughing than thinking!
Thanks Karen for cooking for us!
Mmmmm... must pray that I can get my own home soon.. so that I can invite you all over to enjoy a good meal..... by my helper, of course!!!
Toodles!
Oh ya.. why is this titled "Crossed Over"? Did I mention that Jewel has crossed over???!! She is now into the Terrible Two stage!!! She will pretend to cry and will spread herself flat on the floor when she doesn't get what she wants. And the funny thing is my MIL will say "Get Ck to pray over her..." Hahaha! Think it's just plain naughtiness!

And how true that statement is!
As Jew turns 18 months, we all realised that though she looks like her daddy, her internal make up is very much like her Mum.. MOI!!
God is fair! Lol!
Let me do some analysis of these 2 teams:
Father (CK) Son (JA)
1) CK: DISC: S/I (Are you surprised???!)
Ja: S/I (We concluded after 6 yrs of observation)
2) CK: Street Smart, Witty
Ja: You would have seen these traits from Ja too!
3) CK: Creative
Ja: CREATIVE!(In coming up with reasons too!)
4) CK: Jovial, easy-going
Ja: Just like his dad, Ja's laughter is contagious
5) CK: Soft-hearted
Ja: A Very sensitive boy, heart breaks easily
6) CK: Not very structured!
Ja: He is like that too! Creative people!!!
7) CK: Likes Berms and T shirts
Ja: He loves this combi too! Plus Slippers!!
_____________________________________________________________________________________
Mother (MOI) Daughter (JEW)
1) Eve: DISC: I/D, but appears to be S (Lol!)
Jew: Appears gentle, but I think she is a D/C!!
2) Eve: Needs to do things STRUCTURED!
Jew is V Structured! More than Me even!
3) Eve: Not so creative, but good in executing!
Jew: Yet to discover...:)
4) Eve: Vain! Loves to look good!
Jew: Needless to say!!!
5) Eve: Well known to be ICY!! (DAO)
Jew: She is real DAO! Only Ja has seen the Rugged Jew when she is tickled by her
Gorgor's funny acts!
_____________________________________________________________________________________
Well, Jew is still young so she may change as she grows! Just like how I think I have changed to be more S!! (LOL!)
Anyway, some of her actions really surprised us... Like we were in Jurong Point shopping... Jew saw a Barney water bottle and was holding on to it. When I found another cuter version, I showed her and asked her to take mine instead. To our astonishment, she actually went back to the shelf that she took the bottle from and put the bottle back to its original position before taking what I had to offer!!! Wow! Talking about Structured.. Hope she doesnt turn out to be a Miss 'C' as what CK is calling her now!
There was another time when she was asked to throw away her soiled diaper.. she actually wanted to roll the diaper into a bundle like what Jona usually does before bringing it to the bin!! Gosh! I see a great housekeeper in the making!::)))
Recently, she has been mimicking Jona cooking in the kitchen... Mmmmmm Perhaps she is preparing herself to be a great cook for her husband too! Hahahaha, making up for what her mum can't do! Lol! Karen and Ruxin, help me train her ya??
Okie, this is a long post... I am getting ready to fly off to Bangkok on Tues with family and Jona.. So this will last you guys till we are back!
Toodles!
p.s. Jewel is getting more VAIN! See these pics and you will know..

I am ALRIGHT!
Friday, October 9, 2009
Alright! For those who saw how I manifested yesterday in my blog must be thinking Oops! What had happened?
Actually nothing really did happen. Maybe I am going thru a PMS? But M just left lei so can't be too..
Anyway, like I have mentioned, when you are staying with parents and you only have one room to yourself and you have to share it with your son, most of the time our emotions are bottled deep inside us as we do not want to alarm or disturb our parents. So I really feel for those who stay wtih parents or in laws. I mean it's great to have their support but in terms of privacy there is definitely a compromise.
Nevertheless, I realised it's so important to have an avenue to LET OUT and LET GO! I mean not just in prayers but an avenue. Mmmmmm, I pray that I can buy a house near the sea one day and whenever I need it I can just SHOUT it OUT LOUD!!
Hahaha.. Anyway, I am that kind of person who needs to vent out and then I will be ok like in one hour?
Many of the people in church always think I am a super mum, super woman, super this and super that... just because I never show my emotions out.
But well, I am still a human being and I am not a very emotionless being or "STRONG" being. Many times it's more of "Others can but I can't"...
That's why there are times when I just pray that I can be NORMAL.. as in living a NORMAL life, having a husband with NORMAL working hours, having weekends spent NORMALLY with my husband and kiddos blah blah blah...
Ok before anyone think that Evelyn is NDW, (in fact a bit la.. hahaha), don't worry, as said, I need to vent out... So just let me indulge in this VERBAL DIARRHEOA...
I am not a typical P's wife, so treat me NORMALLY...
Alright, going for my cg now.. looking forward to see my members!
Tadah!
